Had a very special day here with my partner and my mam. We were visiting from Australia and my mam wanted to do a bit of a nostalgia tour of Barrow and surrounds. Throroughly enjoyed paddling in the water and spending time with my mam in our English home town.
Very pretty cove with lovely sand & sand dunes & lots of shells to collect. Shallow water when tide was in. Lots of birds paddling in the water. Great beach for dogs too with a fresh water stream running to the sea. Car park to pay for.
What a gem to have found, the walk is great and take your dog there was plenty of four legged friends there. The scenery looks untouched and the walk through the wildflowers was so peaceful.
Lovely beach. Very rocky! Gorgeous views of the mountains across the sea, and a beautiful nature reserve. Great for a walk.
Amazing beach, very quiet. Carpark is small but fair prices which can be done on your phone (paybyphone.co.uk) which if the machine doesn't work is something you will end up doing. …
Brilliant beach with amazing views of the mountains. It has a small carpark attached managed by the national trust and has easy access along the boardwalk. …
I love this beech. Went here all the time as a child when we went up to our caravan near Barrow. Was going to start walking my new dog here more often however you now have to pay for parking and it is expensive! The views are beautiful and it's a peaceful place to be. Great for walking you dog, especially when the tide is out.
A beautiful beach. Car park so close to beach. Watched sunset, an astonishing view.
Amazing place - secluded and not over run with the usual hassle of a busy beach! Great for the dogs too!!
One of the best beaches in Cumbria, excellent open space, great for dog walks and family outings, car park has limited space but well worth a visit.
